Mindset Performance Coaching
My name is Paige Sandvold, owner and creator of PS Coaching. PS Coaching began as a passion project based on my experience as a hockey player and coach.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan, I spent countless hours playing outside, in a gym and in a rink. I am a three-time member of Team Saskatchewan and continued my pursuit of hockey as a Division 1 student-athlete at Brown University. As a coach, evaluator and power skating instructor, I've had the opportunity to work with individual players, teams, organizations, parents and coaching staffs from Novice to USport.
Through my experiences, I recognized the mental skills that would have benefitted me as an elite athlete and as a coach I continue to learn the importance of adapting techniques and coaching styles to meet individual needs...a skill used in every aspect of my life.
Competitive athletics are as much about mental toughness and preparedness as they are physical. Like any physical skill, learning and developing mental and emotional tools to handle high-level competition require training and practice.
The most powerful skills we can learn are the ones we apply to everything we do. Learning how to manage difficult aspects of competition, understanding how to make the most of the things you can control and developing tangible tools to perform your best helps to create healthy habits that extend beyond our athletic identities.
